When it comes to documenting your entire extended family, we are oftentimes overwhelmed by the thought alone!
I get it! It’s a lot to think about; what to wear, what date is best for everyone’s busy life, how to keep the kids happy for an entire hour…. need I go on?
Luckily, I run my business very intentionally! So shooting with us is a fun and simple experience- we make scheduling a breeze, provide you with tools that make it super easy to pick out your clothing, and sessions are designed to be fun and interactive.
Here is the living proof that extended family sessions can be a success!!!
I would be lying if I said that there was no crying involved… we definitely had a meltdown or two, but, at the end of the day, we all left friends and the Happe Family finally has an updated set of gorgeous family portraits!

Introduce yourself and tell us what role you play in your family?
I’m Maria, the fourth in a family of five. One boy and four girls. Our family get-togethers are full of so much activity!
How was your session?
Our session was wonderful! Alyssa was so patient with the entire group – 10 adults and 6 children are quite a handful and Alyssa did it with a smile the entire time.
Did you volunteer to arrange for a family photographer?!
Yes! We all knew we wanted to have a family picture done for Mom and Dad’s 40th Wedding Anniversary. My best friend recommended Alyssa. When doing the consultation, I realized that Alyssa had also taken pictures of a cousin for their engagement. That’s when I knew Alyssa was the right one to photograph our crazy family.
What are some of your family’s favorite ways to spend time together?
Family gatherings often revolve around food
Do you love your photos?
We LOVE our photos. Alyssa captured all 16 of us and that is a challenge for sure! The pictures she captured of mom and dad are so telling of their relationship.
